Construction specifications and planning of slots and openings

In the construction industry, “openings” refer to openings or recesses in walls and floor slabs designed to accommodate pipes and cables. The planning of these “structural elements”—which, in a physical sense, are not actually structural elements but merely open spaces—is of particular importance because they are among the components requiring the most coordination between the various disciplines involved in construction.
