The BIM Office Administration (BOA) service package offers centralized, cross-client management of all process- and technology-related aspects of BIM operations, regardless of company size, location, or area of expertise (e.g., architects, structural engineers, building services engineers, etc.).
- Unified Training Network
- Uniform Model Standard
- Field-proven software configuration
- Regular expert roundtables within the customer network
- Centralized documentation of all content on BIMpedia
- Centralized provision of templates (building construction and MEP)
- Centralized provision of object libraries (building construction and MEP)
- Centralized expert support
- Centralized development projects
The BOA is operated by Plandata Datenverarbeitungsgesellschaft m.b.H., which also operates BIMpedia itself. The BOA is managed by BIM administrators who serve as the interface to the BIM managers or BIM coordinators of individual clients. Development tasks are collected by our BIM administrators within the network, distributed internally to the development departments, processed there, and then redistributed to the client network.
Requests (e.g., requests for new families, support cases, bug reports, development tasks, etc.) are forwarded through a skill-level structure within a company to a client’s BIM Manager. If the BIM Manager cannot provide a solution, they forward the request to the BIM Office Administration. There, the request is processed and then made available to all users again.
This allows new knowledge, technical enhancements, and improved workflows to be shared quickly and easily among all users.
