Revit is a tool for creating digital building models across all disciplines of building design. It is developed by Autodesk, the global leader in CAD, and is one of the few BIM authoring tools that offers an integrated solution for architecture, structural engineering, building services, and electrical engineering. Numerous plug-ins enable data transfer to programs for building physics, structural, and building services simulations.

Revit is one of the newest BIM products, but it is rapidly gaining prominence in the global market. According to studies, for example, 100 of the 100 largest architectural firms worldwide use Revit. Revit is the core tool of the BIMpedia BIM Office Administration Standard; most of the content refers to workflows using this tool.
